Winners Announced for 2024 “Be the Change” Scholarship Competition

The “Be the Change” Scholarship, sponsored by GALLS®, ONE Lexington, and Central Bank & Trust of KY, offers financial support to Bryan Station High School seniors of color who are committed to pursuing a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice at a Kentucky college or university.

Lexington, Ken. (April 2024) – Mayor Linda Gorton of Lexington, Kentucky has announced the winners of the 2024 “Be the Change” scholarship competition sponsored by GALLS, LLC®, ONE Lexington, and Central Bank & Trust of KY. The spirit of the scholarship is to create an opportunity for rising Bryan Station High School seniors of color who are committed to pursuing a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice or a related field at a Kentucky college or university with a scholarship worth $10,000. The winners of the “Be the Change” scholarship are Bryan Station seniors Michelle Moore and Aline Sandoval Cano, who both plan to attend the University of Kentucky. Watch the press conference here.
