On July 31, 2025, 68-year-old Harold James Powell was playing guitar near Pier 55 in Seattle when 32-year-old Gregory William Timm — infamous for ramming his van into a Trump voter registration booth in 2020 — confronted him.

Within seconds, Timm had ripped a patch from Powell’s wheelchair, Powell had drawn a knife and what looked like a gun, and Timm had backed away, retrieved a pistol, and fired.
