GALLS® Partners with Lexington Fraternal Order of Firefighters for 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb

This annual event, taking place at 7:00 PM at Kroger Field (University of Kentucky), is part of a nationwide initiative honoring the 343 FDNY firefighters who fell on 9/11.

Lexington, Ken. (September 2024) – GALLS, LLC®, the nation’s leading supplier serving America’s public safety and military professionals, is proud to announce its involvement in the upcoming 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb, hosted by the Lexington Fraternal Order of Firefighters. This powerful event, taking place at 7:00 PM at Kroger Field (University of Kentucky), is part of a nationwide initiative organized by the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation to honor the 343 FDNY firefighters who made the ultimate sacrifice on September 11, 2001.

Before the 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb, the day will start with a wreath-laying ceremony at the Police and Fire Memorial on Main Street in Lexington, Kentucky. After the ceremony at 10:00 AM, a reading of the fallen firefighters’ names will occur at Halligans Bar & Grill in the Distillery District. Galls is also supporting this portion of the ceremony by supplying glassware, umbrellas, and challenge coins. Galls also previously sponsored the installation of the Halligans’ 9/11 Memorial.

As a partner in this meaningful tribute, GALLS has donated t-shirts and will be present with a dedicated table at the 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb. This event is open to all who wish to join, with proceeds supporting the upkeep of the Lexington Fallen Firefighters Monument. Any additional funds raised will be donated to the Lexington Fraternal Order of Firefighters’ Toy Program, benefiting thousands of children in need within the Lexington community during the holiday season.

GALLS employees will join the climb, collectively ascending the equivalent of 110 stories, representing the height of the World Trade Center. This effort is a solemn reminder of the bravery and sacrifice of those who gave their lives in the line of duty.
