Big Horn Armory Rolls Back Prices Across Entire Lever Action Rifle Line to Pre-Inflation Levels
With rising costs affecting Americans everywhere, Big Horn Armory has worked hard to control costs and pass the savings directly to its customers.
Cody, Wyo. (November 2024) – Big Horn Armory (BHA), makers of big-bore firearms, is thrilled to announce price reductions across its entire rifle line. With inflation impacting families from the gas pump to the grocery store, BHA is taking bold action to make quality firearms more accessible. Thanks to a dedicated effort to streamline costs, the company is returning to pre-inflation pricing on all of its rifle models without compromising on the premium materials or craftsmanship customers have come to expect from BHA.
“Americans have been hit hard by rising prices in every part of life over the past few years, and while inflation has been relentless, we’re optimistic,” said Greg Buchel, Owner of Big Horn Armory. “With the recent election results, I believe we’re going to see some positive changes very soon. At Big Horn Armory, we’re taking the lead and doing our part by rolling back our prices. We’ve worked tirelessly to control our costs, and now we’re thrilled to pass those savings directly to our customers.”
Earlier this year, Big Horn Armory launched the Reverse Bidenomics campaign, which reduced prices on the Model 89 and the Model 89 Black Thunder. Now, BHA has expanded upon that initiative, cutting prices across the board on all rifle models and reducing prices on the Model 89 and Model 89 Black Thunder even further.
The base Model 89 lever-action rifle in .500 S&W Magnum now starts at $2,999 (down from $3,499), while the base Model 90 lever-action rifle in .460 S&W Magnum now starts at $3,399 (down from $5,099). Built from the ground up and solidly engineered using the latest CNC technology, the Model 89 and 90 embody the best of the old Model 86 and the Model 92 lever-actions in a modern platform capable of handling the powerful .500 S&W Magnum and .460 S&W Magnum. Both are manufactured with 17-4 stainless steel precision machined and properly hardened to deliver consistent downrange performance and rugged in-the-field dependability.
The selected American black walnut stock and forend are fitted with integral front and stud rear sling swivel mounts. The pistol grip buttstock has a one-inch recoil-taming pad. Stock and forend are given several coats of a durable synthetic satin finish. Both are equipped with aperture rear and post-front sights. The Model 89 and 90’s large, hunter-friendly curved lever enables ease of operation, especially with gloved hands. Honoring the long tradition of great American sporting rifles, the Model 89 and 90 lever action rifles provide hunters with pride in ownership and a powerful advantage afield.
For those looking for something truly exceptional, Big Horn Armory’s Model 89 with Fancy Wood in the powerful 500 S&W Magnum is now priced at $3,599. This places BHA’s custom-crafted rifle, with its unique wood grain and handcrafted finish, at a lower price than mass-produced competitors. Unlike the assembly-line products of larger manufacturers, each BHA rifle is individually made, with careful attention to wood selection, finish, and the fine details that make each one unique. With these price adjustments, BHA is ensuring that customers can own an heirloom-quality, handmade rifle at a lower price than many high-profile, mass-produced options.
“Whether you’re a hunter or collector, we want to make our firearms accessible to more people,” added Buchel. “Our rifles are designed to last generations, and with these price reductions, we’re making it easier for everyone to experience the unmatched quality of Big Horn Armory.”

About Big Horn Armory:
Big Horn Armory was founded in 2008 with the expressed intention of designing a Browning-type lever-action gun chambered in 500 Smith & Wesson Magnum. The Big Horn Armory Model 89, made in America, closely follows the work of John Browning with refinements courtesy of modern metallurgy and machining capabilities. The first rifles began shipping in September of 2012 and since then, BHA has added to their big bore lineup with a Model 90 Carbine in 460 S&W, the Model 90A in 454 Casull, the Model 90B in .45 Colt, the Model 89A in 500 Linebaugh and the Model 89B in .475 Linebaugh. In 2017, Big Horn Armory took a departure from its lever-action series and developed the AR500 Auto Max, the most powerful short-range, semi-auto based on an AR .308 platform.
