GALLS® Receives Five Awards at the NAUMD 2022 Convention and Exposition

GALLS® takes home four Best Dressed Public Safety Awards® and one Image of the Year Award®.

Lexington, Kentucky (June 2022) – GALLS®, the nation’s leading supplier serving America’s Public Safety professionals, is proud to announce during the Network Association of Uniform Manufacturers and Distributors (NAUMD) annual convention and exposition, held this year in Reston, Virginia, the company took home an unprecedented five awards from the NAUMD Awards Reception and Banquet.

The NAUMD Best Dressed Public Safety Awards® are presented to police, fire, sheriff, correctional, EMS, security, and other public safety departments. In addition to recognizing the departments, the awards also recognize the NAUMD distributors and manufacturers involved in the program. The goal of the Best Dressed Public Safety Awards is to promote professionalism and excellence within the uniform industry.

GALLS received the Best Dressed Public Safety Awards for the following categories:

• Government – Bureau of Engraving & Printing Police, Washington D.C.
• Police & Sheriff, K-9 – Lancaster Police Department K9 Unit, Lancaster, Pennsylvania
• Police & Sheriff, Motorcycle – Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department, Charlotte, Mecklenburg County, North Carolina
• Emergency Services, Large Fire House – DC Fire and EMS, Washington, D.C.

The NAUMD Image of the Year Awards® is bestowed by the Image Apparel Institute, recognizing the best workplace apparel programs with this award. Offered since 1978, the Image of the Year Award recognizes the organization’s program and the manufacturers and distributors that created it.

In 2022, GALLS was awarded the Image of the Year Award in Transportation, Train, and Rail for Keolis Commuter Services, which operates and maintains the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority’s commuter rail system. In working with GALLS, Keolis developed a new professional and stylish look for uniforms, outerwear, and footwear.  GALLS was able to quickly satisfy the need for a large range of sizes, including maternity wear, by using their web-based e-Quip system to allow employees to place, track, and receive their orders.

In addition to these multiple awards, GALLS also assisted Smith & Warren®. Smith & Warren received the Image of the Year Award®, Badges for the Birmingham Alabama Police Department by designing a custom badge with a recreation of the Birmingham city skyline and iconic buildings. GALLS supplied the custom badges for Smith & Warren.
